Bakers Hill Primary School (PS) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Italian Teacher to join their friendly team.
The successful applicant will possess well developed organisational and interpersonal skills and thrive as part of a team. We seek a teacher who is adept at building relationships with students, colleagues and parents. Applicants will also desirably display that they can create and maintain a stimulating learning environment for students and inspire students to develop a passion for learning Italian.
Bakers Hill PS is a small school located in beautiful rural surroundings just off Great Eastern Highway, approximately 75 kilometres from Perth. The school grounds provide an attractive setting for the school, comprising of a pleasant mix of undulating land with natural bush and green lawns, native shrubs and shady trees with outdoor settings. The school has earned an excellent reputation as a small caring community that enjoys strong support from its parent organisations.
Over the years the staff has built a strong reputation for its competency, teamwork, cooperation and collaborative planning. Minimum staff changes have provided the school with stability and enabled the staff members to provide consistency, experience an enthusiasm along with a good understanding of their community.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy.
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- be fully or provisionally registered with the Teacher Registration Board (TRB), or be eligible for full or provisional registration prior to commencement of the position. (Applicants who require a Limited Registration to teach from the TRB are not eligible). TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
