Greenwood College (GC) is seeking an enthusiastic, creative and passionate Technology & Enterprise Teacher who ideally has experience in Materials Design & Technology in Wood & Metals. They would be expected to actively contribute and support a collaborative team approach to further develop a culture of excellence in the Technologies teaching and learning program.
The successful applicant will be able to teach Design & Technology including Metals, Wood, Digital Technologies and STEM curriculum across a range of ability levels from Year 7 to Year 12, including Senior Secondary General courses. They will require sound interpersonal skills, enthusiasm and be able to work cooperatively in a Learning Area team. Sound classroom management, the ability to develop rapport and motivate students, differentiate curriculum to cater for individual student needs and to practise a range of teaching strategies are a strong focus for this position.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a willingness to liaise with colleagues, parents and external networks to establish strong community partnerships, are also required. As the successful applicant, you will be relationship focused with a consistent and transparent classroom management approach. You will be enthusiastic, seek opportunities for innovation and leadership, and desirably have the proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- be fully or provisionally registered with the Teacher Registration Board (TRB), or be eligible for full or provisional registration prior to commencement of the position. TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
