Ranford Primary School (PS) is looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Health and Physical Education Teacher
The successful applicant will utilise their motivational and interpersonal skills to build strong positive relationships with students and create an engaging learning environment for students in the Health & Physical Education learning area. The successful applicant will ideally be a dedicated and highly motivated educator with the ability to provide high quality teaching and learning programs to meet the needs of our students. You will ideally have excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum, be able to deliver content in an engaging manner, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be a highly effective team member. Assessment and reporting practices would be aligned with the WA Curriculum and school policies.
Evidence of outstanding organisational skills is essential in showing the capacity to manage whole school events within the Physical Education specialist role. Engagement in whole school processes and curriculum teams is expected and essential in maintaining strong relationships.
Strong behaviour management skills will maintain the positive tone and culture in the school. Responsibilities and experience in the management of resources and equipment is essential to maintain this well-resourced and equipped learning area.
Ranford PS is an Independent Public School located in the suburb of Canning Vale. We currently have 695 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. Teaching and learning environments reflect a positive and innovative attitude towards maximising learning opportunities through a school wide focus on visible learning, explicit teaching and high expectations.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

Eligibility
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- be fully or provisionally registered with the Teacher Registration Board (TRB), or be eligible for full or provisional registration prior to commencement of the position. Training
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
