This is a permanent part-time (0.4FTE) position commencing Term 2, 2021.
Babakin Primary School (PS) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher – Primary to join their friendly team. There is a possibility of this role taking on additional FTE.
The successful applicant will ideally have a strong knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum structure and content, as well as a focus on differentiating the curriculum, in particular to cater for one class of K-6 students (it is preferable that the applicant is Early Childhood experienced). The successful applicant will be highly motivated and committed to creating an effective, engaging, inclusive and innovative learning environment; based on high accountability and expectations to ensure all students are achieving their maximum potential. You will be highly organised and have good communication skills in order to follow school initiatives. Applicants will possess an understanding of explicit teaching and structured lesson design which incorporates a series of clear steps and transitions between them, and scaffolds learning to build students’ knowledge and skills.
Babakin PS is a small, friendly, rural school located in the Wheatbelt Region of Western Australia, located between the towns of Corrigin and Bruce Rock. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- be fully or provisionally registered with the Teacher Registration Board (TRB), or be eligible for full or provisional registration prior to commencement of the position. TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
