Baldivis Secondary College (SC) is seeking a highly professional, passionate and innovative Teacher – Home Economics to join our innovative Technologies team.
To be successful in this role, you will, ideally have experience teaching across a broad range of Home Economics subject areas and have experience in delivering Vocational Education and Training programs. In addition, holding a Certificate II in Family and Children’s Services and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment will be highly advantageous.
The successful applicant will be student and relationship focused, highly motivated, innovative and able to work effectively in a team environment. Ideally, you will possess an engaging and energetic teaching style, promoting an environment of active and positive learning in their classroom. As well, you will be committed to providing high quality learning opportunities and activities for all students, enabling each of them to make connections with the ‘real world’ and develop the skills needed to be successful at school and in the future.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
