At Tuart Hill PS, we have integrated the application of technologies across the curriculum to enhance student outcomes. Knowledge of how to analyse data for improvement and apply targeted teaching processes is desirable.
In this role, you will ideally employ an explicit teaching model that demonstrates effective high impact teaching strategies. Key experience in teaching Kindergarten classes in a diverse multicultural environment is desirable. Play based explicit teaching to create deliberate opportunities for students to develop foundation literacy and numeracy skills is a characteristic of Tuart Hill PS. In this role, you will foster a child’s existing gifts and talents while supporting positive social emotional development.

Teachers who are familiar and/or have experience with the following programs are encouraged to apply: Explicit Teaching model; High Impact Teaching strategies; Positive Behaviour Support; Learning through play to inspire creative thinking – Walker Learning model; Talk for Writing experience; Heggerty/Letters and Sounds/Words Their Way programs; Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract/BAR approach to Numeracy; and Technology as a learning tool (Office 365, Windows and Apple devices.)

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- Be fully or provisionally registered with the Teacher Registration Board (TRB), or be eligible for full or provisional registration prior to commencement of the position. (Applicants who require a Limited Registration to teach from the TRB are not eligible). TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
