Halidon Primary School (PS) is seeking to appoint a hardworking and motivated Primary Teacher to join our team. The school was established in 1986 and is located in the suburb of Kingsley, 17 kilometres north of Perth.
The successful applicant will ideally be motivated, have a growth mindset, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. Furthermore, it would be highly desirable if applicants are able to illustrate how they have used data-informed practice to improve student outcomes, co construct criteria with students and apply STEM Pedagogy in a whole school setting. Applicants will need to possess the ability to reflect on their own performance, contribute to staff development, and support and effectively implement our whole school approaches.
This role will require you to exhibit a proactive and positive approach to student engagement and behaviour, including the consistent application of low-key classroom management strategies, aligned to Positive Behaviour Strategies. Applicants will have the ability to build positive relationships with key stakeholders including students and parents

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
