Appointment Pool
Narrogin Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to establish a pool Teacher - English for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year.
Suitable applicants will be highly motivated, student and relationship focused and able to provide engaging, relevant and meaningful learning experiences. This will involve you reflecting and assessing the effectiveness of your teaching practice and cultivating a safe learning environment. We are seeking a professional who will utilise evidence based teaching practices whilst employing a range of assessment and reporting methods. Suitable applicants should have real care and consideration for students and highly effective teaching practices and a willingness to seek constant improvement in their own practice. With effective interpersonal skills, the successful applicant will work closely with students, teachers and the community to instil rigour, resilience and pride, allowing students to achieve to their full potential.
We are seeking applicants who ideally have the knowledge and skills to utilise data such as Progressive Achievement Testing (PAT), National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) and Online Literacy and Numeracy Assessment (OLNA) to target individual students and address student needs.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
