John Forrest Secondary College (SC) is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, enthusiastic and progressive Science Teacher to a full time fixed term position commencing in Term 1 2021.
The successful applicant will be joining an enthusiastic and progressive team of teachers who are engaged in implementing a whole school approach to education. They will be expected to employ a variety of relevant and innovative teaching and learning strategies and will differentiate instruction for a range of abilities. The successful applicant will ideally have proven experience in teaching Science who is relationship focused and ideally possess strong interpersonal skills while working collaboratively in a team environment. The successful applicant will ideally have a strong track record of using Information and Communication Te ICT to enhance teaching practice.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
