Boyanup Primary School (PS) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher – Early Childhood Education.
The successful applicant will possess the ability to teach Early Childhood Education, particularly pre-primary. An excellent understanding of the curriculum and pedagogies in early childhood including a strong focus in play based learning is required to successfully undertake this role. Ideally, the successful applicant will have excellent knowledge of the integration of technologies in learning. Within this role you will increase the educational outcomes of students in pre-primary, effectively preparing them for Year 1, by implementing a strong focus on increasing literacy and numeracy skills at appropriate level and in accordance to the curriculum.
We are seeking an individual who possesses excellent interpersonal skills to be able to communicate effectively with parents. The ability to work with children with special needs will be highly regarded. You will have excellent skills to be able to work in a team as well as possess the ability to effectively manage support staff. Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support and knowledge of appropriate social emotional well-being strategies is preferable.
Boyanup PS is small school with strong collegiate culture. Families are an integral part of the school community. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
