Manea Senior College (SC) is seeking a dedicated Vocational Education and Training - Workplace Learning Coordinator to join our friendly team.
In collaboration with the Manager, Vocational Education & Training (VET) and other members of the Leadership Team, the Vocational Education & Training (VET) and Workplace Learning (WPL) Coordinator manages the day to day operations of the College’s VET/WPL program.
The successful applicant will ideally possess outstanding interpersonal skills and have the capacity to build strong relationships with students and staff. A component of this role is to network and build highly effective partnerships with employers, Registered Training Organisations (RTO’s) and other agencies.
The VET/WPL Coordinator will have the ability to support students undertaking work placements and conduct workplace visits as required. You will manage the locating and securing of appropriate industry placements with existing and new workplace partners. It is highly desired that the successful applicant will have excellent organisational and communication skills and will work collaboratively in order to improve student outcomes.
At Manea Senior College (SC) we are dedicated to selecting specialist staff with strong knowledge and relationship building skills to provide an educational journey for our students that enables their success in Years 11 and 12 whilst simultaneously preparing them for life as adults.
We are strategically located between Edith Cowan University (ECU) South West Campus and South Regional TAFE (SRT), providing our students with the opportunity to combine their WA Certificate of Education (WACE) programs with certificate qualifications to access TAFE and university facilities across the Education Precinct.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements (selection criteria):
- Skills and experience in developing, implementing and evaluating VET/WPL programs.
- Well developed written communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports.
- Well developed oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with individuals at all levels, facilitate school/industry partnerships and work in a collaborative team environment.
- Well developed organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and identify priorities

Eligibility and training requirements
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy
- Complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
