Appointment Pool
Warnbro Community High School Education Support Centre (CHS ESC) are seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year.
The suitable applicants will undertake administrative tasks, whilst providing the school community with excellent support. The Administration Support Officer provides a customer-focused service to internal and external clients and attends to routine reception and client enquiries, answers incoming telephone calls and directs enquiries to the appropriate officer in a timely manner. In addition, you will prepare general correspondence, notices and other material.
Suitable applicants would ideally have experience using computer applications and possess data management skills to ensure administrative tasks are completed in a timely manner. Experience in the use of the Adobe Creative Suite is desired, but not a requirement. This role would require applicants to be able to manage their time effectively therefore strong organisation skills and the ability to prioritise tasks and communicate effectively is highly desired.

To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements (selection criteria):
- Good verbal and written communication skills and experience in the application of customer service principles and practices.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and constructively as part of a team.
- Experience in the use of computer application systems, including databases, spreadsheets and word processing software.
- Initiative and good organisational skills, including the ability to manage conflicting timelines.
- Skills and experience in providing administrative support.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy; and
- Complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
