This is a twelve (12) month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 1, 2021 with possible extension and/or permanency
Atwell Primary School (PS) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher – Early Childhood Education.
The successful applicant will be able to provide innovative teaching and learning programs that nurture and inspire students. You will work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team and have the opportunity to make a contribution to our school community. The successful applicant will have outstanding interpersonal skills with a natural ability to communicate and relate to parents, students and staff members.
The successful applicant will ideally be highly organised and have good communication skills in order to follow whole school initiatives. Knowledge of Letters and Sounds, Talk 4 Writing, Explicit Teaching and a Growth Coaching model will be desirable. You will be expected to demonstrate data-driven teaching practices alongside a play based approach and a good understanding of how to establish a positive classroom environment, fostering high care and expectations. Ideally, you will have a strong understanding of the core frameworks: National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Framework.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
