Appointment Pool
Bunbury Senior High School (SHS) are seeking to establish a pool of Library and Administrative Support Officers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year.
As Library Officer and Administration Support Officer at our school, you will be highly organised, motivated, energetic and possess the qualities to promote excellence within our school including application of excellent customer service principles and practices. You will also possess excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills and demonstrate the ability to work in a highly collaborative manner.
The suitable applicants will supervise the day-to-day operations of the library and administer library systems to ensure library records are up to date and resources are maintained and accessible to staff and students.
Additionally, this role will contribute to general administrative tasks across the school. The role requires the applicants to be flexible in providing support to administrative staff, particularly in the following areas:
- Financial and payroll data processing
- Processing enrolments for new students
- Entering student attendance
- Conducting ordering procedures for purchasing
- Other role allocations as suitably assigned by the line manager

Bunbury SHS was established in 1918 and is built on an impressive site on one of the city of Bunbury's highest points, Boulter's Heights. To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements (selection criteria):
- Good verbal and written communication skills, including application of customer service principles and practices.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment.
- Ability to use computers and a range of application software packages, particularly databases, spreadsheets and word processing.
- Experience in providing administrative support with the ability to organise and prioritise tasks effectively.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy; and
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
