Appointment Pool
We are seeking to establish a pool for appointments for fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year.
As a teacher at Allendale Primary School (PS), suitable applicants will support students of differing abilities through the provision of an inclusive, differentiated curriculum and have well-developed classroom management skills.
Allendale PS is a high profile school that is involved in many external programs and targeted initiatives. Knowledge of explicit teaching approaches, iStar teaching methodology andDaily Review will be highly regarded.
Suitable applicants will have positive interpersonal qualities and be able to work collaboratively within a team environment to develop relationships with students and staff. Ideally, you will have the ability to effectively plan learning sequences using Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework, have full participation strategies embedded in teaching practiceand a strong working knowledge of disabilities (diagnosed and imputed).
Our staff are proactive and go above and beyond to ensure that studentsare provided with a clear pathway to a successful future. We have a focus on staff striving to learn as well as having the ability to adapt to the evolving educational environment. Staff are encouraged to take on leadership roles.
We are a proud Independent Public School for 400 Kindergarten to Year 6 students. Our school is situated in the centre of Geraldton and our families live within Wonthella and surrounding suburbs. Vacancies may arise during the life of this pool that require specialist qualifications (for example vacancies within Early Childhood Education). Only applicants, in the pool, possessing the required qualifications will be considered for appointment in these circumstances.

- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
