Appointment Pool
Neerigen Brook Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of Teachers from Kindergarten to Year 6, for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year.
Suitable applicants will be highly motivated and dedicated to raising literacy and numeracy achievement, as well as social and emotional skills, through the effective use of whole-school approaches, explicit teaching and a commitment to the National Quality Standards.
Suitable applicants will have a strong understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum. They will need to be an active member of a supportive teaching team, maximising the learning opportunities for students, through targeted strategies and differentiation. Working in a collaborative environment with a willingness to share planning is essential. As a Pioneer STEM School, integrating technology into the learning program with a strong STEAM focus is expected. Continuing to build a strong school community and engaging parents in the learning programs is a key focus.
It is highly desirable that applicants can demonstrate a proactive approach to student engagement and behaviour, comprising of individualised planning for some children, while utilising consistent low key classroom management strategies aligned with WA PBS.

Vacancies may arise during the life of this pool that require specialist qualifications (for example vacancies within Early Childhood Education). Only applicants, in the pool, possessing the required qualifications will be considered for appointment in these circumstances.

- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
