We are seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year.
Greenwood College is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and innovative Program Coordinator – Student Services, to join our dedicated leadership team. Suitable applicants will demonstrate commitment to supporting student achievement through a positive approach to student health and wellbeing.
The role of Program Coordinator - Student Services is dynamic, strategic, proactive, and hands on. Suitable applicants will provide educational leadership in the school and the community by developing and promoting the school vision and work collaboratively with the Student Services, Leadership and Executive Teams to develop, manage and deliver relevant programs and initiatives to support staff and students and enhance the positive teaching and learning environment that exists at Greenwood College.
As Program Coordinator, you will contribute to the development of the school plan through participative decision making, including assisting in developing policy and establishing and maintaining operational systems. Suitable applicants will have specific as well as shared responsibilities for each year group in a number of areas including curriculum, data analysis, academic monitoring, behaviour management, administrative and operational systems and pastoral care. You will work to promote positive educational outcomes for all students including those with diverse and identified learning needs.
Suitable applicants will have the ability to promote a positive whole-school culture and will ideally have the ability to think and plan strategically and to identify innovative and practical solutions to problems and challenges. You will bring a range of skills, knowledge and experience in the areas of Academic Pathways, Vocational Education & Training, restorative justice processes as well as demonstrating outstanding skills in collaboration and communication with third party providers and external support agencies.
Your leadership will be supported by the capacity to build positive relationships with staff, as you collaboratively lead holistic support services across the school. The successful applicant will desirably have highly efficient communication skills. You will be able to collaborate very effectively with others to sustain a professional team culture to support staff and student wellbeing at Greenwood College.

- High level of interpersonal and public relations skills that demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships to achieve planned outcomes;
- Professional knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure a high level of educational outcomes for all students (e.g. Aboriginal students, students from diverse ethnic backgrounds and students with special needs).
- Capacity to manage physical and financial resources.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- hold a recognised qualification in teaching and be currently registered or eligible for registration to teach in Western Australia;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy; and
- complete the Department’s training in Accountability and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
