Baldivis Secondary College (SC) is seeking a suitably qualified passionate English teacher to join our committed English team.
The successful applicant will be a dedicated and highly motivated individual with a proven ability to provide quality teaching of the English curriculum across Years 7 to 12. The successful applicant will ideally possess experience in successfully teaching both the Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) and General English senior school courses.
Additionally, the successful applicant will be student and relationship focused, highly motivated, innovative and able to work effectively in a team environment. They will possess an engaging and energetic teaching style, promoting an environment of active and positive learning in their classroom. The successful applicant will be committed to providing high quality learning opportunities and activities for all students, enabling each of them to make connections with the ‘real world’ and develop the skills needed to be successful at school and in the future.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;

- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
