Appointment Pool
Mount Lawley Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of highly motivated, energetic and innovative Primary Teachers to join its teaching team, through appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year.
Suitable Applicants will value the whole child acknowledging that academic, social, emotional and physical pursuits are equally catered for and addressed through Differentiation (using Carol Ann Tomlinson’s model). Suitable applicants will ideally believe in going deeper than just delivering the required curriculum and that knowing students individually, culturally and developmentally is just as important. Genuine and meaningful relationships will be the key to student and school success.
You will work collaboratively with school leadership, other teachers, support staff and the wider community and your willingness to take on additional roles beyond the classroom and a commitment to weekly meetings will be valued. In addition, you will be expected to contribute to a positive learning environment with excellent teaching through continuous professional learning, self-reflection, engaging with current research, data analysis, coaching and peer observation and feedback. Health and well-being, social responsibility, and a commitment to sustainability will be desired attributes. .
In addition, suitable applicants should have an excellent understanding of Gifted and Talented Education. Early Childhood Education Teachers should also be familiar with Walker Learning as it is implemented in the Early Years.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
