Eastern Goldfield Education Support Centre (ESC) are seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year.
Suitable applicants will be committed to making a difference in the lives of young people, ensuring they are their best self, ready for life. Suitable applicants will provide quality teaching and learning opportunities that cater for the individual learning needs of students to achieve their full potential. Applicants who possess knowledge of School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) senior school curriculum, the Award Scheme Development and Accreditation Network (ASDAN) and who are proficient at using assessment and reporting to guide their teaching practice is highly desirable. Education Support qualifications are desirable but not essential.
Suitable applicants must be organised, have a strong focus on ensuring a safe and appropriate learning environment and the ability to work well in a team. In particular to support education assistants to deliver evidence-based, best practice programs to enhance student outcomes. Ideally the applicant will have knowledge and understanding related to students with disabilities, including Intellectual Disability (ID), multiple physical disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The ability to effectively incorporate information and communications technology (ICT) into learning programs is highly desirable.
Eastern Goldfields ESC is situated in Kalgoorlie. Eastern Goldfields ESC is situated across a dual campus. Years 7 – 10 are co-located with Kalgoorlie Boulder CHS and years 11 – 13 are co-located with Eastern Goldfield College, Central Regional TAFE and Curtin University. Our Centre is well resourced with a brand new, purpose built Centre which opened in 2017. We cater for a range of student abilities and applicants will possess the ability to plan individually and differentiate the curriculum.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
