Ballajura Community College (CC) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher – Mathematics to join their team.
The successful applicant will ideally possess excellent interpersonal skills and be relationship focussed, and able to provide engaging, relevant and meaningful learning. You will be innovative, knowledgeable and understand instructional curriculum whilst keeping abreast of the latest developments within the Mathematics Learning Area. You should also be reflective in assessing the effectiveness of your teaching practice and able to cultivate a safe and accountable learning environment.
You will support the implementation of the college’s Business Plan, work and teach in a team environment, be committed to whole College approaches and initiatives, and have a strong evidence based approach to teaching. The successful applicant should have experience in a wide range of teaching models and differentiating the curriculum. Adopting inclusive practices, building positive relationships with students, staff and the community are important components of the role. Applicants will ideally have an excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and be able to teach students of varying ability levels across Year 7 – 12 in a highly engaging manner.
Ballajura CC is one of the largest providers of the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) courses in the North East Metropolitan Region. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
