Appointment Pool
Yanchep Secondary College (SC) are seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year.
Yanchep Secondary College is looking for proactive, intelligent and passionate English teachers who are able to effectively teach across the school English programs. Suitable applicants will also have effective interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills and the ability to work closely with students, parents and the community to achieve the best educational outcomes for students. Ideally suitable applicants will use a range of teaching strategies (including ICT) to engage the students and ensure high quality outcomes for all students.
Yanchep Secondary College is a new secondary school that opened at the start of 2018 in a state of the art facility in Yanchep. In 2019 the school catered for Year 7 to 12 students. The school has a focus on student engagement and technology. This is a key part of the teaching and learning philosophy for the school. Suitable applicants have an opportunity to promote whole school literacy and to work with the local community to develop high quality educational outcomes for the students of Yanchep.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
