Appointment Pool
John Curtin College of the Arts are seeking to establish a pool of Digital Technologies teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year. We are seeking expert and dedicated teachers to deliver lower school Digital Technologies subjects. The position also includes teaching the lower school Design Technologies subjects of woodwork, metalwork and/or Technical Graphics. In upper school the college delivers the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) ATAR and General Applied Information Technology courses. We would be looking for teachers who, in the future, have the ability to deliver these subjects.
The college is looking for passionate teachers with a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. Suitable applicants will need to exhibit the professional knowledge, understandings and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant secondary school curriculum and have proven success working with very able students. An in-depth understanding of and/or experience in teaching gifted and talented students would be highly desirable. Applicants with experience and/or interest in participating in cross curricular Science, Technologies, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) initiatives are encouraged to apply.

Eligibility
Employees will be required to:

Training
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
