Australind Senior High School (SHS) are seeking to establish a pool of Health and Physical Education (HPE) teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year.

Suitable applicantd should be able to substantiate a strong commitment to the development of their own pedagogy via avenues such as targeted professional learning, collaboration with colleagues, membership of a professional learning team, use of student feedback surveys and formative assessment.
Suitable applicants for the position will be a member of a team charged with the responsibility of teaching Health and Physical Education across all year levels (7-12). Applicants should be committed to working collaboratively to develop and deliver Health and Physical Education curriculum in a range of contexts, contribute to extra-curricular sporting programs and possess the capacity to apply innovative teaching practices that cater for the needs of a diverse range of students.

To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
