Appointment Pool
Leeming Senior High School (SHS) are seeking to establish a pool of English Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year.
As an English Teacher, you will be required to teach English to students in Years 7 to 12 across a range of abilities and talents. You will reflect upon and assess the effectiveness of your teaching practice to create an environment that is supportive to learning and provides educational opportunities that cater for different student learning needs.
Suitable applicants should possess strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills that will be used to develop and promote the school’s values, ethos and priorities across the school community. You will work effectively in a team environment as well as demonstrate quality teaching that enables students to achieve their potential. Suitable applicants will work closely with students, teachers and the community to achieve the best educational outcomes for students in the classroom and extra-curricular contexts.

Eligibility
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and

Training
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
