Appointment Pool
Ellenbrook Secondary College (SC) is seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent or fixed term, full-time or part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year.
We seek passionate and dedicated Music teachers to join our team, with a focus on contemporary, general music; with a qualification to deliver a Certificate III in Music Industries a preferable requirement. The Arts learning area engages in a number of before and after school extra-curricular activities in the way of music ensembles, arts clubs and musical productions. Teachers within the pool will also be encouraged to engage in these tasks.
Suitable applicants will have a passion for secondary education and the desire to impart their skills and knowledge to adolescent students. You will need to be self-motivated and prepared to enthusiastically embrace new opportunities.
Applicants should have an excellent capacity to communicate clearly and concisely with staff, students and the community and be able to articulate a clear vision that complements and supports the College’s excellent culture in teaching and learning. You will ideally have previous success with teaching students Music in a secondary school. High-level knowledge of the curriculum area and the ability to work in a team environment is required.

Eligibility
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;

Training
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
