Appointment Pool
Gairdner Primary School (PS) are seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year.
We are a small school with a very collaborative and supportive staff. Currently we have 26 students in two classrooms. The School Board and P&C work hard to support the school. We work closely with other small schools in our area so that there can be a sharing of ideas and assessment moderation and we offer our students numerous incursions and excursions. All students are well behaved and we follow the PBS model with our values of Respect, Inclusivity, Strive and Explore.
We are looking for someone who is an enthusiastic and passionate teacher and is confident in teaching a multi-aged class. Having a good rapport with students and good communication skills with parents is essential.
Gairdner Primary School, is an Independent Public School located 145kms east of Albany. Our small school is integral to the thriving rural community of Gairdner and has strong links with the neighbouring towns of Jerramungup, Bremer Bay, Borden, Ongerup and Wellstead.
Gairdner PS is a place where everybody feels valued and safe and where individual differences are appreciated, understood and accepted. Our goal is to assist all children to reach their academic potential by guiding them to become independent learners in a safe, supportive environment. The school has a happy and friendly feel and is a welcoming place to work.
Sadly, Gairdner does not have a town-site and accommodation for the successful applicant would be either in Jerramungup or Bremer Bay.
If you are interested in working in a rural setting and being part of a small friendly team, we welcome your application.
