This is a permanent full-time position commencing October 2020
In the role of Process Support Officer, you will develop, coordinate and maintain internal procedures for the implementation of Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) processes.
The successful applicant will update and maintain the ICT Intranet pages and assist with general administration requirements of the ICT Service – Corporate, branch as required. You will schedule and facilitate a range of regular process meetings, prepare and circulate reports and documentation for meetings, follow up on agreed actions and record and distribute meeting minutes. You will update the ITSM risk and issue log using Departmental information management processes. Contribute to a work environment that is safe, fosters equity and diversity, enables the achievement of personal and Education Business Services (EBS) goals and facilitates accomplishment of designated roles and deliverables.
The successful applicant will contribute to ICT change management projects relevant to the Branch and represent the Directorate, as required, on Division committees and working parties. You will generate and circulate process reports and plans to stakeholders while maintaining a focus on customer service delivery and continuous improvement of services.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our branch for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements:
- Sound understanding and experience with methodologies, standards and tools applicable to effective process management, including the ability to participate in, and assist with, ICT service delivery and support processes.
- Sound conceptual and analytical skills, including the ability to identify and assist in the resolution of problems.
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work constructively as part of a team.
- Sound computer and business application software skills.

ELIGIBILITY AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance before commencing employment
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- complete any training specific to this role required by Department policy; and
- complete the Department’s training in Accountability and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment
