Perth Modern School is looking for a committed Gifted and Talented Drama Teacher to join their team for Semester 1, 2021.
The suitable applicant will be joining a progressive and dedicated team of teachers who have an understanding of and are engaged in implementing a whole school gifted and talented approach to the educational programs offered in the school. It is highly desirable that a Drama Teacher is capable of teaching high level Drama from Year 7 to Year 12, to ATAR level. Experience in whole school drama, house drama and musical productions and choreography are also desirable
The suitable applicant is expected to extend and challenge our highly able students through in-class and co-curricular activities and are also expected to be involved in our Advocacy program, supporting the social and emotional needs of gifted learners. You will be student focused, relationship focused and able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills while working collaboratively in a team environment.
Perth Modern School is Western Australia's only fully academically selective school for gifted students in Year 7 to Year 12. Centrally located in Subiaco, the school provides a differentiated and compacted curriculum that develops the individual skills and abilities of academically gifted students.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional engagement.

Eligibility
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;

Training
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
