This is a three (3) month fixed term, part-time (0.5FTE) position commencing Term 4, 2020.
Onslow Primary School (PS) is looking for a highly motivated, innovative and enthusiastic Primary Teacher.

Applicants will be expected to engage in regular planning and coaching sessions with Teacher leaders – particularly in Literacy, Numeracy and Explicit Instruction.
Suitable applicants will implement effective, innovative and engaging learning programs and will work collaboratively with staff to apply whole school approaches for Curriculum delivery including consistent approaches in Literacy and Numeracy across the school. Experience and knowledge in T4W, Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), and Explicit Instruction is desirable.
Onslow PS is a forward moving school, which is located in the coastal town of Onslow in the Pilbara Region of Western Australia about 300km south west of Karratha, and has a culturally diverse student population of 130, 4 to 17 year olds with approximately 40% of the students from the Thalanyji, Yindjibarndi, Banyjima and other Aboriginal groups.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

Eligibility
Employees will be required to:

Training
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
