This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly effective school that has a well-deserved reputation. Our school community values education and we relentlessly pursue improvement.
Our school community has very high expectations of teachers. Working closely with parents/carers is required and suitable applicants will be flexible and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Suitable applicants will work collaboratively and will welcome colleagues and parents into their classrooms, readily seeking and acting on feedback.
Suitable applicants will also need to be open to innovation, willing to embrace change and committed to building their professional capacity through continuous learning. They will be required to implement whole school strategies and to integrate technology to redefine teaching and learning experiences throughout all learning areas. An ability to rigorously analyse student performance data, continually monitor the impact your teaching is having on student learning outcomes and provide a differentiated curriculum will be favourably considered.
We provide supportive and inclusive classroom environments and our school community is committed to catering for not only the academic needs of our students, but also their social, emotional and physical needs. We also offer a strong pastoral care program. Staff at Rossmoyne PS are expected to actively contribute outside of their classrooms and our distributed leadership model allows for leadership roles and responsibilities beyond the classroom. Contributing to whole school and phase of learning planning and achievement of targets and implementing broad strategies identified in our Business Plan will be required.
