Appointment Pool
Honeywood Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of enthusiastic, innovative and motivated teacher for appointment to permanent and fixed term, full time and part time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements up to the end of Term 4, 2021.

Suitable applicants will be passionate and positive educators who are committed to working with the whole child while embracing and implementing our whole-school approaches. They will create an effective, engaging and inclusive learning environment based on high performance and high care while incorporating play and the integrated use of ICT for learning. Suitable applicants will have a strong understanding of NQS, EYLF and the WA Curriculum and will be able to use assessment data to evaluate the effectiveness of teaching programs, set targets and plan for differentiated learning opportunities for all students in their class.
Applicants will be able to work collaboratively with administration, other teachers, support staff and the wider community as part of a growing team to support the further development of our new school with a willingness to take on additional roles beyond the classroom and a commitment to weekly meetings. They will have a positive attitude and the ability to anticipate and adapt to change, showing initiative, flexibility and creative problem solving to produce the best opportunities for students. Additionally, applicants will contribute to a positive learning environment focussed on improving student outcomes through developing teacher expertise and knowledge with a commitment to continuous learning, engagement with current research and accountability, reflection and improvement through data analysis.
Honeywood PS is an Independent Public School (IPS) and opened for Kindergarten and Pre-primary students in 2017 and for all students Kindergarten to Year 6 in 2018. Our enrolments have increased steadily since opening.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
