Rossmoyne Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Teacher - Secondary, to coordinate Teacher Relief. The successful applicant will demonstrate a commitment to excellence and have the ability to maintain and increase the pool of high quality relief Teachers to support the school in achieving the best possible educational outcomes for our students. It is an exciting time to join our school community as we begin to focus on the development of our next Business Plan.

The Teacher – Secondary role requires the successful applicant to possess high level organisational and communication skills and the ability to maintain a calm and professional service whilst prioritising and dealing with tight deadlines. They will be highly motivated with the ability to work independently, collaboratively as part of a team environment and in conjunction with a diverse range of school and teacher-relief personnel.

Responsibilities include coordinating teacher relief, ensuring compliance with teacher relief procedure, inducting new teachers to promote quality teaching and undertaking relief when unable to allocate staff. Previous experience as a Relief Coordinator or similar will be highly regarded. We currently use SEQTA, SIS Cover and Class Cover so experience using similar programs would be beneficial.

The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and leadership skills which will be used to develop positive relationships and promote the school’s values, ethos and priorities across the school community.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment.
