Brabham Primary School (planning name) has an incredible opportunity for an empowered and innovative Manager of Corporate Services to join our executive leadership team.
We are looking for an applicant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is a leader in corporate, human resource and financial management. These skills will see you negotiate effectively and build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels as we build and then operate this school. The successful applicant will need strong Information Communication Technology (ICT) skills, and ideally have experience in asset management and a sound knowledge of Human Resource Management. Experience in the application of School Information System (SIS), ICT Dashboard and Asset and Human Resource Management Information Systems (HRMIS) packages and; marketing and branding are highly desirable. Demonstrated experience in the strategic leadership and maintenance of a large organisation is also desirable.
As an integral part of the school’s leadership team, you should be a strategic thinker with the desire to make a real difference to the whole school community through innovation, leadership and excellence in the development of corporate business systems and service provision.
Utilising your outstanding financial management skills and strategic leadership, you will be responsible for the development and deployment of physical and financial resources in delivering services for the school community. Modelling your exemplary leadership, professionalism and commitment to exceptional customer service, you and your team will significantly contribute to student outcomes and a positive school experience for all who connect with the organisation.
Our school is located 26 kilometres from the centre of Perth in the growing suburb of Brabham, near the Swan Valley, surrounded by rapidly developing housing estates with many young families. Our school community includes families of different backgrounds and cultures, many from overseas where English is not always the first language or dialect spoken at home.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements:
- Well-developed oral, written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to use effective negotiation skills.
- Sound financial management skills, including budget preparation and the ability to interpret and apply financial and accounting practices and procedures.
- Sound human resource management skills, including the ability to develop and/or apply human resource management practices and systems.
- Leadership skills in the delivery of business outcomes and sound customer service principles and practices.
- Ability to provide input into the development, implementation and monitoring of business and marketing plans.
- Sound conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy; and
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
