The Role
In this role you will provide technical writing expertise to assist in the improvement of the Major Project Division’s controlled documentation standards. This will involve driving and shaping the adherence to quality principles and processes relevant to technical documentation across the Division. This includes providing professional leadership and participating in working groups and meetings to champion the continuous improvement of quality documentation.
You will also compile reports related to Divisional procedures and other documents; ensuring that advice is undertaken within the prescribed framework in accordance with standards. The position also develops and edits documentation in consultation with the technical expert whilst maintaining clear document standards.
To be successful in this role you will need to have extensive technical writing skills and comprehension ability. You will also have demonstrated experience in interpreting operational manuals, design specifications and technical documentation. It is also essential that you hold a tertiary qualification in English Language, Engineering or any other relevant discipline.
This is a fixed term appointment until 30 June 2023 with the possibility of further extensions.
