This is a twelve (12) month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 3, 2020
Onslow Primary School (PS) is looking for a highly motivated, innovative and enthusiastic Early Childhood Education Teacher for a Year 1/2 class.

Suitable applicants will be expected to engage in regular planning and coaching sessions with Teacher leaders – particularly in Literacy, Numeracy and Explicit Instruction.
Suitable applicants will implement effective, innovative and engaging learning programs and will work collaboratively with staff to apply whole school approaches for Curriculum delivery including consistent approaches in Literacy and Numeracy across the school. Experience and knowledge in Talk for Writing (T4W), Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), and Explicit Instruction is desirable.
Onslow PS is located in the Western Pilbara over 1400 kilometres north of Perth; 300 kilometres from the regional centre of Karratha. It is a modern and well-resourced school located in attractive and well-maintained grounds.
Onslow PS has a culturally diverse student population of 156, ranging from 4 year olds to 17 year olds with approximately 40% of the students from the Thalanyji, Yindjibarndi and Banyjima Aboriginal groups.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
