Corrigin District High School (DHS) is seeking a Secondary Science teacher with excellence in explicit and cooperative Science teaching skills to facilitate highest outcomes for Year 7 to 10 students. We are looking for someone who can establish an effective Secondary Science learning environment and provide stimulating lessons to encourage a love of Science learning.
The successful applicant will lead Science across the school including teaching Science to Year 3 to 6 students. In addition, there is a requirement to teach a second core subject to Year 7 to 10 students that can be negotiated to accommodate applicant’s interests and expertise.
The successful applicant will require a highly positive and collaborative demeanour. Attributes of care, kindness and integrity along with high aspirations for self, students and school as a whole is essential. High level ability to development and maintain respectful relationships with students, staff and parents is also essential.
Corrigin (DHS) is situated in the Southern Wheatbelt 240 km from Perth, and caters for students from Kindergarten to Year 10. We are proud of our strong ethos of a caring, inclusive learning community where every child is treated with kindness as a valued individual.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
