This is a twelve (12) month fixed term, full-time position commencing February 2020 with possible extension
The Education Business Services Division is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and committed Senior Capability Building Coordinator in the Business Capability branch.
This role will require the successful applicant to contribute to the development and analysis of key performance metrics and reporting tools, tool for the reporting of performance across a range of measures. Identifying and defining capability standards and accountabilities in relation to education business services functions and evaluating current capability of staff to achieve these standards is highly desirable.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our branch for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements:
- Highly developed skills and experience in identifying opportunities to improve product/service delivery and applying quality improvement/risk management principles, including managing workplace change and the impact of change on people.
- Substantial experience in performance analysis and implementation of staff improvement initiatives, including the ability to critically analyse and use data to drive the development of business performance.
- Substantial skills, knowledge and experience in project management with the ability to meet targets, milestones, budgets and timelines using appropriate management of human resources.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively liaise with key internal and external stakeholders at a senior level and to build strong relationships.
- Skills and experience in achieving outcomes and delivering quality products and services consistent with customer needs and defined quality expectations.
- Highly developed analytical and conceptual skills with the ability to interpret data in order to provide innovative solutions to complex problems.

ELIGIBILITY AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance before commencing employment
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- complete any training specific to this role required by Department policy; and
- complete the Department’s training in Accountability and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
