This is a pool recruitment process (Ref 00334). This pool will run for a period of 12 months and may be used to fill ongoing fixed term contracts, secondments, acting/relieving and permanent opportunities (full and part time).
This position is offered as a 3 month contract / secondment opportunity with the possibility of extension. This position is temporarily vacant whilst the substantive occupant is engaged in other duties.
POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Service Support Analyst’s primary function is to provide business application support to the users of Western Australia Police Force (WA Police Force) business applications. The position is responsible for initial support for WA Police Force supported services as defined in the Business Information Systems (BIS) Service Catalogue.
SPECIALIST PRE-REQUISITE
It is a requirement that the position holder is successful in obtaining and maintaining a NEGATIVE VETTING LEVEL 2 security clearance for the duration of their appointment in the position. Only Australian Citizens are eligible to hold and maintain the NEGATIVE VETTING LEVEL 2 security clearance. Any applicants who are currently not an Australian Citizen must be aware that this is an essential requirement to fulfil this position (please refer to the attached position description). Whilst there is nothing to preclude applicants from applying for the position if they have not yet been granted Australian Citizenship, applicants who are successful should be aware that they cannot be appointed unless they are in the process of applying for Australian Citizenship and are eligible to receive a waiver.

The CV must also include the names and contact details of two (2) referees who can comment on the applicant’s ability to satisfy all of the Essential Work Related Requirements. Applicants should nominate at least one immediate (most contemporary) supervisor/manager unless exceptional circumstances exist.

OTHER CONDITIONS
The Service Operations team currently has one (1) full time position available.
In addition to this vacancy, a POOL is being created to fill future vacancies that may arise within the metropolitan area. This POOL will remain active for a period of twelve (12) months from the initial appointment. Applicants who are assessed as ‘suitable’ at the completion of this process, will be placed in the POOL and may be considered for future permanent and temporary vacancies as they become available.
Once an applicant within the POOL accepts a permanent vacancy offer within the metropolitan area, that applicant will be removed from the POOL. Applicants who accept a temporary vacancy will remain in the POOL.
Integrity and criminal checks will be conducted if the recommended applicant for this position is not a current WA Police Force employee. Any relocation costs associated with appointment to this position may be the responsibility of the successful applicant.
