Coastal Lakes College is an Independent Public School (IPS) seeking to appoint a dedicated, highly competent and enthusiastic Digital Technologies teacher with excellent interpersonal skills.

You will possess the professional knowledge, understandings and experience to develop and implement an engaging and relevant secondary school Digital Technologies curriculum. The ability to create an environment conducive to learning and provide educational opportunities that are purposeful and relevant, catering for different student learning needs is highly desirable.
We are looking to appoint an educator who will be able to develop innovative classroom practices utilising the College’s cutting edge IT infrastructure to provide integrated, personalised and authentic learning experiences for students. The College is also focused on STEM, working in partnership with local primary schools. A commitment to the College’s emphasis on pastoral care and co-curricular programs will be essential as well as active promotion of the college’s vision, mission and values within the college and the wider community. The successful applicant will work with the Head of Quantitative Sciences to develop this new program across the College. The ability to teach across other context within the Technologies Learning Area would also be highly desirable.
Coastal Lakes College located in Lakelands, a south western suburb of Perth in the City of Mandurah, and opened in 2019 for year 7 students. It is a new and innovative college which includes an Inclusive Education hub for students with moderate to severe and profound disabilities and will cater for students in Years 7-12 by 2024 across the college. All successful applicants to Coastal Lakes College may potentially teach Inclusive Education students within their learning area.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
