Lockridge Primary School (PS) are seeking a talented and dedicated Upper Primary Teacher who is energetic and enthusiastic in their commitment to driving school improvement and supporting student and staff success and wellbeing.
The successful applicant will evidence a rich experience in managing and improving the academic, social and emotional outcomes for students with diverse needs, and a capacity to differentiate in order to meet the needs of our diverse student cohort via trauma-informed practices. You will have high expectations and a commitment to attaining positive and sustainable success, through linking with stakeholders including SSEN:BE, CAMHS and SSEN:D and engaging in whole school practices including PBS, Talk for Writing and SEN Planning. Responsibilities may also include School Camp, Graduation and Student Leadership.
Lockridge PS has a current enrolment of approximately 260 students. The student population, while mainly from an Australian background, is culturally diverse with families from Asia, Middle East, South Africa and Europe. Approximately 32 percent of students are from Aboriginal backgrounds and approximately 24 percent have language backgrounds other than English.
We are located in the City of Swan, approximately 12 kilometres from the Perth CBD and are surrounded by a beautiful and diverse area comprised of a unique blend of residential, commercial, industrial and rural land.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):

- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
