Appointment Pool
Can you make our school sparkle?
Ashburton Drive Primary School (PS) are seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2020 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2020 school year.
The Cleaner in Charge organises and supervises the cleaning staff and opens and locks the school, including setting the security alarm system, if applicable. The suitable applicants will maintain the cleaners’ time-book, reports absences and arranges relief staff and liaise with Manager Corporate Services on all cleaning matters. In addition suitable applicants will provide on the job induction training for new cleaning staff and conducts monthly cleaning inspections with the Manager Corporate Services.
Ashburton Drive (PS) is located in the south eastern metropolitan suburb of Gosnells. The current student enrolment is 496 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. The school has a staffing allocation of a Principal, two Deputy Principals, 26 teachers and support staff members such as education assistants, school officer, cleaners and a gardener/handyperson.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement ofemployment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy; and
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment.
The Department applies a ten (10) day breach period to this selection process
