Greenbushes Primary School (PS) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher to join their school. Applicants are required to hold a qualification in Early Childhood to undertake this role, which will include work in a Kindergarten setting.
The successful applicant will teach our very small Kindergarten/Pre-Primary class of 8-10 students, 3 days per week. Additionally, the role includes teaching our year 1-3 class 1 day per week, and providing DOTT to other teachers 1 day per week. Capacity to teach LOTE (Noongar in particular) would be highly regarded in this selection process. As the only full-time teaching position in the school, the successful applicant will also be expected to take a leading role in the school's Fogarty School Improvement process, which commences in 2020. As such, experience with explicit direct instruction and/or Fogarty EDvance will be highly regarded.
You will also be highly motivated, innovative, enthusiastic, flexible and have the ability to create an effective, engaging and inclusive learning environment based on high expectations. The ability to work effectively in teams is essential and the demonstrated capacity to lead and support the development of other staff is highly desirable.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
