Are you interested in being part of our English Curriculum team working with Year 11 and 12 ATAR and General students?
The Western Australian College of Agriculture – Cunderdin is seeking to establish a pool of motivated English Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2020 school year.
We are seeking to employ dedicated teachers to continue the development of, and improve, the student capacity in literacy at the senior secondary level. The suitable applicants will be committed to maximising the engagement, progress and success of all students. A thorough knowledge of English and the capacity to teach senior secondary courses in both General and ATAR is fundamental.
The Western Australian College of Agriculture – Cunderdin provides Year 11 and 12 students with a unique educational experience focused on innovation and excellence, with STEM a key priority of the College. The College is located adjacent to the Wheatbelt town of Cunderdin approximately 2 hours east of Perth and 45 minutes from Northam. Students are offered the opportunity to achieve the best possible educational outcomes within the context of a commercially operating farm, state of the art trade training workshops and a 134 bed residential facility.
Suitable applicants should be able to deliver differentiated curriculum through remediation, extension, enrichment, use of information technology and diagnostic approaches. You will be able to demonstrate a commitment to supporting the departments’ vision of "High Performance, High Care". Highly developed interpersonal skills focused on collaboration, building and maintaining positive relationships are essential. The ability to integrate studies of Agriculture and the capacity to teach in an Agricultural College context will be desirable.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
