Warnbro Community High School is seeking a highly motivated and innovative Program Coordinator - Student Services. The successful applicant will demonstrate commitment to supporting student achievement through a positive approach to student health and well being
The applicant will be a proactive, dynamic and committed professional who can provide leadership in the school and community by promoting the school vision and values. They will have a strong case management approach, with exceptional organisational skills, including the ability to manage your time and prioritise, keep accurate records and the ability to analyse data to inform interventions and future practice.
As Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on students in relation to attendance, behaviour, social/emotional wellbeing, resourced students, educational engagement and Students at Educational Risk. This role is an integral part of our Student Services Team and the successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to motivate and lead by example. You will be required to provide support to teachers and curriculum leaders in the area of student wellbeing and work in a collaborative team in order to meet all Schools Curriculum and Standards Authority requirements through various strategies such as targeted interventions and student case management. To ensure high quality outcomes for students, the Program Coordinator will need to build positive, professional working relationships with students, staff, parents and stakeholders
Warnbro CHS is a low ICSEA school, an understanding of Trauma Informed Practice is highly desirable, as is the ability to take a trauma informed approach to building strong, effective relationships in the school environment, and understand the importance of restorative practices to strengthen the school community.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements:
- Capacity to provide effective leadership in a diverse range of educational settings;
- High level of interpersonal and public relations skills that demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships to achieve planned outcomes;
- Professional knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure a high level of educational outcomes for all students (e.g. Aboriginal students, students from diverse ethnic backgrounds and students with special needs); and
- Capacity to manage staff, physical and financial resources.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- hold a recognised qualification in teaching and be currently registered or eligible for registration to teach in Western Australia;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy; and
- complete the Department’s training in Accountability and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
