Exmouth District High School (DHS) is seeking to establish a pool of Mathematics and Science Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2020 school year to teach Mathematics or Science or both.
NB: There is definitely a full time Mathematics/Science position next year.
Exmouth (DHS) is seeking qualified lower secondary teachers with a genuine passion for student learning. Suitable applicants must have high expectations of student achievement and progress and take pride in supporting and challenging all students. They would also be able to diagnose student learning and be able to differentiate their teaching to meet their needs in mixed ability class groups. All our teaching staff participates in the Classroom Management Strategies/Instructional Strategies program so skills in co-operative learning would be advantageous. As part of a vibrant professional learning community, the successful applicant is expected to engage in peer observation and collaborate in high performance teams.
Exmouth DHS is a proudly Independent Public School with close to 450 students from Kindergarten to year 12. We are passionate about providing the best possible education for the children of our community and are charged with preparing our students for a diverse range of futures. ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy

- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
