Denmark Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of highly motivated and innovative Teachers – Kindergarten to Year 6 for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise before and during the 2020 school year. Placements can be made from the pool at any time for commencement within the 2020 school year.
We are seeking suitable applicants who put student learning and wellbeing at the centre of their work and thrive being a part of a team that implements consistent whole school approaches. They will possess the skills to use assess, plan, teach cycle effectively to drive their practice and differentiate the curriculum to meet the needs of a wide range of abilities. Suitable applicants will also have the interpersonal skills to develop effective relationships with students, staff and community members. We are seeking individuals that reflect on their practice and continually strive to improve.
It is desirable that suitable applicants possess the skills and knowledge in implementing Play Based Intentional Teaching and the National Quality Standard (for K-2 Teachers) as well as Literacy Blocks, Guided Reading, Letters and Sounds, Talk 4 Writing and iSTAR. Applicants that have experience integrating Information Communication Technology (ICT) and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) into the curriculum will be highly regarded.

Vacancies may arise during the life of this pool that require specialist qualifications (for example vacancies within Early Childhood Education). Only applicants, in the pool, possessing the required qualifications will be considered for appointment in these circumstances.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
