Appointment Pool
Kiara College is seeking to establish a pool of creative and hands-on English Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2019 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2020. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2019 school year, up to the end of Term 4, 2020.
To be suitable you will be a passionate educator committed to making a difference in the lives of young people. You will have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills as well as the ability to work effectively as part of an energetic, creative and experienced team.
You will possess strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills to support the College’s mission statement, values and priorities across the community. You will work effectively within a team and be able to demonstrate the capacity to improve your own performance through reflective practice. Knowledge of the English curriculum area, including ATAR English, strong classroom management skills and a willingness to be part of a supportive pastoral care system is highly valued.

Vacancies may arise during the life of this pool that require specialist qualifications (for example vacancies within Early Childhood Education). Only applicants, in the pool, possessing the required qualifications will be considered for appointment in these circumstances.

- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
