Embleton Primary School (PS) is looking for a highly motivated, innovative and enthusiastic Physical Education and Music Teacher to lead Physical Education and Music across Embleton Primary School. The role will also include teaching in a middle primary class.

The successful applicant will desirably have expereince and a strong knowledge of the curriculum and effective teaching approaches for both Music and Physical Education. They will be student focused and possess strong interpersonal skills while working collaboratively in a team. They will teach students from Kindergarten through to Year 6 and play an integral role in co-ordinating school wide events.
Ideally, the suitable applicant should have the skills to conduct both senior and junior choir sessions. The ability to teach musical notation and teach students how to play musical instruments including keyboard, guitar and the ukulele is highly desirable.
The successful applicant would ideally have experience in delivering a high quality Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS) program for the junior years as well as experience in organising and conducting both school and interschool carnivals. They would have an inclusive approach with strong teaching and classroom management skills and the ability to challenge and engage all students, promoting an environment of active and positive learning.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:

TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
