Westfield Park Primary School (PS) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Cleaner In Charge to join their school. Please note that this is a job-share position, where the successful applicant will negotiate working hours with the school.
To be successful in this position, you will be required to demonstrate your ability to organise and supervise staff. You will liaise with the Manager Corporate Services on all cleaning matters and provide on the job induction training for new cleaning staff. You will have sound knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe cleaning procedures, methods and practices. The successful applicant will have strong interpersonal and team motivational skill and be happy to receive and carry out instructions as required. As Cleaner in Charge you will be well organised and have good record keeping skills.
Westfield Park PS, an Independent Public School, is situated in spacious well-maintained grounds in the heart of the Camillo community. Westfield Park PS caters for students from Kindergarten to Year 6. We are a family oriented school working in partnership with the community. Parents, carers and extended family members are encouraged to play an active role in school life in our classrooms and Community Block.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy; and
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment.
The Department applies a ten (10) day breach period to this selection process
